SPRING 2027
Brand + Discovery Plan
A focused strategy project for independent food, beverage, and hospitality brands that need a sharper position, a stronger digital presence, and less friction in the work behind both.
We review your positioning and language, what customers find about your business across search and AI, and the recurring work that keeps your marketing moving. Then we identify what should change first, what can be simplified, and where automation can actually remove work.

Who gets recommended, and why?
People are increasingly asking AI what to eat, drink, buy, visit, and trust. At the same time, search engines, social platforms, and commerce systems are deciding what gets seen, promoted, recommended, and sold.
Brand Arcadia Research studies those decisions.
We track what appears, what disappears, which sources shape the answer, where platforms draw the line, and what those choices mean for independent food, beverage, and hospitality businesses.
CURRENT RESEARCH / 2026–27
Current work includes AI recommendation and source audits, alcohol and social commerce, video discovery, and the changing path from attention to purchase.

ABOUT BRAND ARCADIA / ERIN ORTIZ
About Brand Arcadia
Brand Arcadia is an independent strategy studio and research practice founded by wine writer and strategist Erin Ortiz.
Erin entered the wine industry while curating a wine bar menu in Harlem. The bottles that stayed with her opened up a larger world of people, heritage, culture, and taste. That beginning grew into more than a decade of work across wine sales, editorial writing, cultural strategy, brand work, and emerging technology.
Brand Arcadia grew from that experience and a persistent question: what makes something worth choosing, and how does that difference get understood?
Today, the studio works with independent food, beverage, and hospitality businesses on positioning, messaging, digital discovery, and practical systems that reduce repetitive marketing work. Wine and beverage remain our deepest specialty.
Brand Arcadia Research follows that same question across AI, search, social platforms, and digital commerce: what gets surfaced, what gets excluded, which sources matter, and how those decisions change who gets found.
No useless content treadmills.
No technology that creates another job for the founder.

FAQ
- Do you only work with wine?
No. Wine is our deepest area of industry experience. Brand Arcadia works across independent food, beverage, restaurants, bars, and selected hospitality businesses where positioning, storytelling, and digital discovery are central to the business.
- What is digital discovery?
Digital discovery is how people find and understand your business across websites, search engines, AI systems, publications, directories, and other digital sources.
We look at how clearly your business is represented across that environment, where information is missing or inconsistent, and what deserves attention first.
- Can you guarantee that my business will be recommended by ChatGPT or another AI system?
No.
AI systems change, different systems produce different answers, and the same query can produce different results across repeated runs.
Our work focuses on understanding how your business is represented, identifying factual and discovery gaps, strengthening the information available about your business, and helping you decide what is reasonable to improve.
- What is the Brand + Discovery Plan?
The Brand + Discovery Plan is a focused strategy project for businesses that need clearer positioning, stronger messaging, a better understanding of how they appear across digital discovery, and a clearer view of where repetitive marketing work can be simplified.
You leave with a review of your brand positioning, core messages, findings from search and AI systems, website content recommendations, workflow and automation opportunities, and a prioritized 90-day action plan.
- What is Brand Arcadia Research?
Brand Arcadia Research is our public research practice studying how AI, search, social platforms, and digital commerce are changing what people discover, trust, choose, book, and buy across food, beverage, and hospitality.
The work is led by Erin Ortiz and built around original research, documented methods, interviews, and real businesses, products, places, and sources.
- What will the AI recommendation review cover?
This assessment is in development for 2027. It will examine what AI systems say about a business, whether that information is accurate, which sources they use, and what information is missing or needs correcting.
The review will help businesses understand these changes without promising a particular ranking or outcome. Initial studies are planned for 2027.
- Do you build automations?
Yes, for scoped workflows where automation removes real work.
Brand Arcadia focuses on systems for research, content production, discovery, and repetitive marketing tasks. We do not add software for its own sake.
